RE-ENTRY Plan

Students Returning to School Under Scenario 1

July 21 - Premier Jason Kenney and Education Minister Adriana LaGrange announced the return to in-person classes this fall. Known as Scenario 1, students will enter the 2020-2021 school year in near-normal operations with health measures.

We are very excited to return to the Little Schoolhouse this fall! The safety of our students and staff remain our top priority, and we will continue to work over the summer to ensure we are returning to as safe and predictable an environment as possible.  As always, The Little Schoolhouse will follow the Rockyview School Division for how this near-normal will look and provide you with details closer to September.

Rockyview School (RVS) Division Health Measures

  • Families, staff, and visitors are asked to conduct daily health checks prior to school entry with strict stay-at-home and pick up policy for anyone exhibiting signs of illness

  • Enhancing cleaning and disinfecting practices in school

  • Encouraging physical distancing where possible

  • Simplifying rooms and traffic flow to allow for more physical space

  • Cohorting students where possible

  • Mandating hand hygiene and coughing/sneezing etiquette

  • Outlining shared material and equipment handling

Given the evolving nature of the pandemic, RVS will be working to minimize risks under Scenario 1 but remind everyone that circumstances may change, which may see the province mandate our schools move to a blended or at-home learning format with very little notice. We recommend that you have contingency plans in place to support your children and family should such an event arise.
